Our beloved furbabies love goodies just like we
do. Here are some recipes for you to try. Hope
your doggies like them...


1/2 c. vegetable oil      2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening        1 tsp baking soda
1 c. honey           1/2 c. cornmeal
2 eggs                2 tsp cinnamon
3 3/4 c. flour    

Mix vegetable oil, shortening and honey together until smooth.
Add eggs and beat well. Blend in flour, baking soda and cream
of tartar. Knead dough until mixed well. Shape dough by rounding
1/2 teaspoons into balls. Mix the cornmeal and cinnamon together
in a bowl and roll balls in mixture. Place 2" apart on a cookie
sheet that has been sprayed with a nonstick spray. Press the balls
down with a fork twice - going in 2 different directions or press
with your favorite stamp. Bake 8 mins at 400°. Remove from baking
sheet and cool on a rack.

1 lb of beef (flank steak, London broil, etc) about 1" thick –
partially frozen
garlic powder (not salt) to taste
1/2 cup Soy or Teriyaki sauce (light)

Slice steak no thicker than 1/4" thick. Place meat into a zipper
bag and pour soy or teriyaki sauce over it. Seal bag, shake to coat
meat and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Using sided cookie sheets
lined with foil, arrange meat in a single layer. Sprinkle with garlic
powder. Bake at least 12 hours in a 150° oven. Cooking time may vary
based on how thick you cut the meat. Cool and store in airtight>br> container.

1 c. cornmeal
Parmesan cheese or garlic powder (optional)
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 small jars liver flavored baby food
Coat a small 9 x 9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Mix
together, cornmeal, egg, milk, baby food and cheese or garlic. Cook
at 350° for about 30 mins. Cool and cut into small squares.

1 c. cornmeal
2 small jars meat flavored baby food
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Heat oven to 350°. Spray a small baking pan with non-stick cooking
spray. Mix cornmeal, egg, milk and baby food together and spread
into pan. Cook about 30 mins. Brownies will dense and heavy. Let
cool completely, then cut into very small squares. Freeze and use as
needed.

3/4 c. water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1 pkg instant vegetable soup mix
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. powdered milk
Mix shortening and egg with flour, soup mix and powdered milk. Add
water. Roll out 1/2" thick and cut into dog biscuit shapes. Bake at
300° for 1 hour. Turn off heat and leaven in oven for 1-3 hours or
until hard.

2 lbs uncooked beef liver - cut up
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 c. powdered milk (dry)
1 tsp minced garlic or garlic powder
3 c. whole-wheat flour
1/2 c. corn oil
1 c. cornmeal
Preheat oven to 350°. Cover a cookie sheet (with sides) with aluminum
foil and spray with PAM or cooking spray. Place cut up liver into
blender and puree. Pour this into a large mixing bowl. Mix together
eggs, garlic, oil, sugar, and powdered milk into blender. Pour mixture
into bowl with liver and mix thoroughly. Add cornmeal and whole wheat
flour a little at a time and mix together to form a dough (more
consistancy than cake batter but not as stiff as cookie dough). Spread
into cookie pan and bake for 25 mins. Turn off oven and leave for up
to an hour. Cool. Cut up into pieces. Refrigerate what you need now
nd put the remainder into baggies and freeze.

2 c. whole wheat flour
1 egg
1 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp salt (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine flour, wheat germ and salt in large bowl
. Mix in peanut butter, egg, oil, and water. Roll dough out onto lightly
floured surface until it's about 1/2" thick. Cut with cookie cutters.
Put cookies onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 5-15 mins for small (1")
cookies or 30-35 mins for larger (3") cookies. Transfer to rack to
cool. Store in airtight container and refrigerate.


Susi's Papillon Breakfast Bars

4 eggs
1 c. corn meal
3 T. oil
1/2 c. oats
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. pureed beef or chicken liver
chopped parsley (optional)
1/2 c. chicken broth
2 c. flour

Spray cookie sheet with a nonstick spray. Mix eggs, oil, garlic,
parsley, flour, corn meal, oats, liver, and broth and spread on a
cookie sheet. Cook at 400° for 15 mins. Turn out of pan and cut in
small squares. Refrigerate what you will use immediately. Freeze
excess.
